Well Last week I went to a huge sale in Northville.
It boasted vintage toys from the 60's and 70's...just starting to rediscover my love of my era childhood, and I picked up Lucy and Linus plastic dolls, to go with my old Charlie Brown and Snoopy my Uncle had given me. I also found a Cheshire Cat club edition figurine and a Mad Hatter figurine from the Disney Parks to go with my slowly growing Alice in Wonderland collection.
I then hit another sale and picked up a few vintagy ladies items, long black gloves and a sweet little pink pair with tiny bows at the wrists, A vintage Avon talc container, lipstick clip and a black headband (I seem to remember my mom wearing one of these)
Today I went to a sale in Livonia....found a wonderful old silver pom pom Christmas tree. Imagine my disappointment when the base was missing...had to pass on that purchase. And I didnt really feel too bad, as I have a 4 ft one already.
Now I just need that color wheel. I remember laying under the table at my Grandpa's house watching the magic of color on his silver tree. We of course had a green tree, and I just was certain that silver one was straight from Santa's workshop.
Wonder what I will find tomorrow?
